The FBI has opened over 160 case files on the activities in Washington on Jan 6. They have received over 100,000 pieces of digital media and the FBI is asking for more. Over 70 cases have been charged and the FBI expects that to grow into the 100's.

The charges are very wide-ranging from simple charges of trespassing up to planting pipe bombs, assault and battery on police officers, and different theft charges.

Some of the rioters specifically attacked media members and assaulted them, and a separate team is working on those charges.

One of the arrests made from the riots took place in Eau Claire. Keven Daniel Loftus was arrested in Eau Claire and had an initial hearing Tuesday afternoon before judge Robin Merriweather. The complaint is attached below, Much more information about his case is in an article in today's Eau Claire Leader Telegram. He has been charged with Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority and Violent Entry as well as Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds
